Last night, I watched “The Hunter“. A film that takes place in Tasmania about 2001.
Tonight it was “The Tracker“, which takes place in New Zealand just after the Boer War.
Both excellent and recommended.

Reports yesterday that this summer was a major bust for U.S. moviemakers. Pleased to see down under picking up the slack. The SIFF annually demonstrates that international filmmakers — many independent — have creativity and story-telling skills that have much to teach mainstream American studios.
